Food: - Pan fried pork buns: Flavor and soup is there! The bun itself wasn't my favorite in taste and texture. I liked the crispy bottom though. - Crab pork soup dumpling: If you like crab, get this! You can really notice the crab in it compared to other places. Bf really enjoyed it. I personally would want to try the regular one next time as I prefer seafood boil for crab. - Wonton chili oil: My favorite dish of the day as flavors and filling was on point. - Hong Kong Milk tea: I honestly ordered it for the cow with a bao because it looks soooo cute! However, it didn't come with it.... because they didn't have any ready that day due to refrigeration issues? Taste wise is ok/normal. - Sautéed green beans: Good portion. - Salt and pepper spare ribs: Presentation was nice, but the aromatics/flavor could be stronger. ”

“ My family and I came in for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 6:30pm and the place was pretty busy which is always a good sign. There were only 2 tables open, so we were able to get seated right away. Otherwise, there is a tablet next to the door on your left as you walk in to put your name down for a table. I had been wanting to eat her for a while as I keep hearing about this place that offered a Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and generally great food. Well they didn't disappoint! Their menu had lots of yummy offerings, so it was difficult to choose which items to order. We settled on the Pork Soup Dumplings, Pork Chive Dumplings, Salt and Pepper Spareribs, Dry Fried Chow Fun w/Beef and an order of Pan Fried Pork Buns (take home after dinner). - Soup Dumplings- juicy like they are suppose to be and had good flavor. The vinegar dipping sauce was not overly vinegary. - Pork Chive Dumplings- a little different than the pork chive dumplings at dim sum restaurants, was good, but I prefer the dim sum kind. - Dry Fry Chow Fun W/ Beef- excellent flavor, not too salty or bland. Some of the better chow fun I have had locally. - Salt and Pepper Spareribs- we couldn't believe how tender it was. The breading had a slight crunch and had great flavor that was not overpowering any particular spice. It was my wife and kid's favorite dish. Atmosphere: not a big restaurant, but had a fair amount of seating. It was nicely decorated inside. The best part is the glass and enclosed kitchen where you can watch the magic dumpling making happen. Food came out fast and our server was very attentive and checked on us often. Parking: a large parking lot with no neighboring businesses at this time. There are at least 16 Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot as well, so if you have a Tesla or comparable EV, then you can charge while having dinner. My wife wants to come back again when we need to come to Davis again in a couple weeks. ”

“ This place is so cute inside and the staff is very friendly. I love how you can watch the women making the dumplings behind the glass. They were all conversing and seemed happy so it gave it a homey feel. Like when all your aunties cook a holiday meal together. We ordered the chili wontons, pan fried pork dumplings & honey walnut shrimp. I enjoyed everything but did get burned by the hot soup inside the pork dumplings next time will make sure to pour the soup out before taking a huge bite. The honey walnut shrimp was okay but I wished it was sweeter. I did enjoy the chili wontons. The prices are a little high but I understand why since everything is handmade and presentation is beautiful. The staff is really great. Would absolutely come back and try more foods! ”

“ Delicious! We were on our way to Tahoe and decided to stop by Davis for lunch and we came across this place on Yelp. We ordered pork and shrimp XLB, garlic green beans, sui mai, shrimp dumplings, gravy beef chow fun, shrimp chow fun and pan fried baos! The pan fried baos were my favorite! So juicy, soft with the crispy bottoms! I just couldn't get over how tasty and generous the portions were. The 4 of us were so full that we ended up packing the leftovers. It was still good the next day! I will definitely be back here next time I visit or passing by Davis. It's totally worth the visit! ”

“ We stopped by this place around its opening hours and placed an order for XLB, noodles, and buns. The staff was friendly. Their food was delicious and not salty. We all enjoyed our meal. Their XLB skin is thin and juicy, which is good. This is the most satisfying part. The restaurant was huge, but on weekends, you need to come early as it's quite during noon. Parking here is easy, as it's not in downtown, so no worries. ”

Light and flavorful. Service was prompt and helpful even being very busy. Decent mall location by the Tesla charger. ”
